rent increase regulations

Christine,

I have had this question for a while and wonder if you could help me. Is there a rent control in the city of San Jose? How much and how often can the landlord increase the rental; and how long in advance the increase notice should be?

Someone mentioned the Rent Board in the Real Estate forum. The only thing I found in the white page is Rental Dispute Program under Housing. is that the right one?
