Hello,

I filed chpt. 13 bankruptcy back in June 1994, and it was approved as a 5 year plan called an Extention, totalling 23K in secured and unsecured debt. Having paid off all of the secured and only having a balance of only 3500.00 left in unsecured debt, my trusty Trustee had my case dismissed due to my failure to write him a check every two weeks, instead of accepting it monthly as I'd been paying since changing jobs. So now I have to pay off the remaining balance I owe directly to the creditors. While glad to finally be out of bankruptcy, I've began to attempt to rebuild my credit by ordering copies of my credit reports. Needless to say, they are filled with inaccuracies and each Credit Bureau is reporting conflicting info about me. They are also report my chapter 13 as being "Involuntary", I assume they are refering to the dismissal? My questions are, by paying off the remaining balances to my creditors, am I resetting the seven year derogatory information clock even though the account was originally in bankruptcy? Will my bankruptcy be looked upon more negetively being listed as "Involuntary" rather than "Discharged"? How do I go about correcting the inaccurate information in credit reports?

Thanks for any advise you can give me!

Jim
