As far as I know, consumers are NOT entitled to receive their FICO Scores and cannot find out WHY they received their Scores. That should be changed, I elaborate on that subject on the FICO page with my comments.

Many brokers only obtain the report from 2 of the 3 bureaus and only have the TRW FICO Scores. Some loan programs require the CBI or Trans Union Scores and sometimes the various bureau Scores differ greatly!

And don't forget, every time your credit is accessed you might lower your Score! Follow the steps as outlined on the Loan Shopping Page to minimize inquiries when looking for a mortgage.

If you don't have a lender/broker who will provide you with a report containing the Scores from ALL THREE credit bureaus, you can order your report with the Scores through BayHouse.

Please contact your State and Federal Representatives and demand a change in legislation.
