Hey, wait a moment, I never mentioned there was family involved.
How did you know ?

That's a little joke. Yes, the other "interested party" is
my in-laws.

I get it now. We sell our home and buy their's - if we can
afford it. What a simple concept ! And, the house might not
get assessed at the purchase price, because of a family
transfer exemption. The only professional(s) we would need
then would be your basic quality real estate agent(s).

It doesn't need to be nearly as complex as I made it out.
After all, they don't want our house, they want to sell
theirs.

I called our county assessor's office, but had to leave a
message.

Waiting on pins and needles now.
