This is an excellent question!

Of course, I've got some questions for you:

What will those brokers do for $2,000?

Will they take on the legal responsibility for the transaction? I.e., will they act as dual agents?
Will they coordinate throughout the escrow? Schedule inspections, assist the buyer with the loan, etc. etc.

Will you still owe the $2,000 if the escrow doesn't close?

I don't have any experience with fee based brokers, would like to find out more though. Anyone else?

Any brokers have comments?

Christine
