: I am diligently working on getting the Fair Credit Reporting Act changed to be the tool that it was INTENDED to be.  It now specifically bars consumers from suing "furnishers of information" leaving only the FTC and Attorney Generals to enforce, yet they will not take on individual consumer complaints.  We are putting a lawsuit together now and I will be testifying before the banking commission with my own horrendous story of nearly three years abuse from a bank that continues to report a mortgage "write off" that we never had.  They also SOLD this non-existant mortgage" to a collection agency that is also on our reports.  Then to make matters worse they received a copy of my credit report "without a permissible purpose" under false pretenses stating for "collection purposes".  I am committed to making a difference and now have some Legislators listening to me.  If you want to help e-mail me your story with a line stating you want to see this legislation changed.
