To those who are desparately searching for an attorney to handle lawsuits against creditors: Recently, I found out that I had a judgement entered against me by a bank for unpaid fees associated with an account that I closed. The judgement was won by default. I didn't show up for the judgement because I didn't know about it. The Company filed an affidavit of personal service with the court stating the specific time, date, and place of service. It also had a description of me: female, white, brown hair, 5'4", 30-35, 120 pounds. That probably would be ok except for a couple of things. First, and foremost, I am a BLACK female. Need I say more? I went to a wonderful attorney who got this judgement vacated, and got a nice settlement for me.
