basically if you filed bankruptcy you'll find it hard to get unsecured credit. if it's very recent, sometimes it's hard to get secured credit too. but it can be disputed. i just recently had mine removed after 1 year. had it 1996 and had it removed december 1997. it can be done. but first deal with you other incorrect info. that would be easier. post here what kind of problems you saw.
