You are right on target with your explanation of scoring. My intention was to right the FTC and my Congressman about the scoring problems. The FTC fails to realize that even if you pay your bills on time, that your score may not reflect what use to be considered a good customer. I have found that my reports says I have all I1 accounts. (This has been consistent for the past 6 years.) My beacon is 675, my experian is 739, and FICO IS 628?????? The reasons given are to many finance accounts. ( i only have one), inquiries, ( I sorry I had to move), Even items that are still reflected on my report from 10yrs ago are considered. ( this should have been deleted)

My friend is a credit analyst, and states that she has had to deny customers who pay on time. These customers have several credit cards, and unfortunately that lowers the score. You look at the report, and it appears to be excellent. The score however speaks a totally different language. She also told me that the score tracks when you pay, and if you only pay the minimum payment. This is unreal. Many customers like to leave there money in the bank to receive the most interest possible, prior to giving it to someone else.

Why are you scores lowered for that reason? It was my understanding that your report was suppose to reflect those times when you didn't pay as agreed. In these cases, customers are paying as they agreed. I feel customers should have legal recourse in these cases. That is why a credit report means nothing to a consumer. If the system was so great, the scores would not be lowerd for certain inquiries such as rent.

We need to act NOW!!! Consumers we are partially to blame. With our "express service" attitude. We have created a monster.
