Only the creditor can remove it, or a Judge could order it removed (since you can't prove that your name was forged w/o going to Court.) Or you could get the person who forged your name (your ex?) to admit to it, that might help too.
I hope you raised hell with the creditor and started to take legal action.

: HELP!!In going through the Mortgage process, I discovered a fraudulent Banc One Acceptance Corporation Lease on my report which affects my debt-to-income ratio and may cause me to be unable to close on Feb. 26, 1998, if I cannot get it removed quickly.I called Banc One for a copy of the agreement. When I got it I was appalled! My signature was forged on the document, possibly by my ex-husband. What can I do to correct this quickly in order to meet my closing date. The mortgage lendor says I must have it removed in order to obtain the loan. I'm located in Dayton, Ohio. PLEASE HELP!!!!Tracy Thacker
